Gandhinagar: The precaution doses of the covid-19 vaccine will be administered at free cost to the people of the 18 to 59 years age group from tomorrow on 15th July 2022, declared state government spokesperson Jitubhai Vaghani.

The precaution doses will be administered to over 3.50 crore eligible people of 18 to 59 year age group in Gujarat. The central government will spend over Rs 700 crore for the precaution doses to 18 to 59 year age group in Gujarat.

The union cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken a decision to avail free precaution dose (booster dose or the third dose) to those above 18 for free of cost in a 75-day long campaign yesterday.

The people of 18 to 59 years age group can take the precaution dose of covid-19 vaccine at the government covid-19 vaccination centers of all the districts and corporations at free cost. The vaccine will be given for 75 days starting from 15th July 2022 under Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The people of 18 to 59 years age group and those who have completed 6 months of taking the second dose of vaccines will be eligible to take precaution doses. DeshGujarat
