The Umra police have initiated steps to register an FIR in this matter.
As per the details available, three people from the minority community started verbally abusing the Umra youth after he expressed support for Nupur Sharma’s comments made to a TV channel during a debate on Varanasi’s Gyanvapi Mosque issue. They also allegedly threatened to kill the youth for his deed.
The youth initially ignored the threats but when the threats were issued repeatedly, he got in touch with the Umra police. The Umra police have swung into action late night and initiated steps towards filing an FIR in the matter. They have also picked up three youths including a youth by the name of Ayan.
