Junagadh: CM Bhupendra Patel has allotted a special grant of Rs 28.83 crore for the development of Narsinh Mehta lake in Junagadh city.

Junagadh Municipal Corporation (JMC) had made a proposal through Gujarat Municipal Finance Board for Rs 48.32 crore for Narsinh Mehta lake development project to CM Patel. CM Patel has approved Rs 28.83 crore special grant for the same, in addition to Rs 19.49 crore allotted previously. The lake development will be done at Rs 48.32 crore in 2 phases.

The masterplan proposed by Junagadh Municipal Corporation for lake development includes ring road around lake, embankment, protection wall, promenade, walk way, amenities block, parking, entrance, boating dock, ghat, garden, tree plantation, light poles, Iceland for bird attraction and so on. The residential area with a population of around 30 thousand around the lake will benefit from this project.DeshGujarat
