Amit Shah to unveil modern library in home town Mansa on Saturday

Mansa: Union Home Minister Amit Shah had resolved to establish a library in his home town, Mansa. The modern library developed at a cost of Rs 38 lakh is fully ready and will be dedicated to the people by Shah on the coming Saturday.

The new building of the Mahatma Gandhi Pustakalay in Mansa was constructed because of interest shown by then leader Chandulal Mafatlal Shah. Amit Shah’s home had become the venue for preserving some of the furniture, equipment, and important books of the library when the new building was constructed in 1976.

From those days, Shah has dreamt of converting the library into an updated, modern one and took a resolve to renovate the library in 2007. Kanubhai Kalidas Kansara is discharging duties as the president of the library. The readers will have the benefit of modern facilities in the freshly renovated, modern library.

There is a separate sitting facility for women. The second floor houses a lab. The library has over 15,000 books. The books are in different languages, books that can be used in preparations for competitive exams, daily newspapers, as well as literature for women and children are available. The modern library will be dedicated to the people in Mansa under the auspices of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
