Allegations against minister Arjunsinh Chauhan found to be false

Gandhinagar: The crime branch of Police has after its probe found that the allegations made by one Hitesh Patel claiming suspicious relations between Mehmedabad MLA and cabinet minister Arjunsinh Chauhan and his wife are false. The Crime Branch concluded this after taking a statement from the complainant Hitesh’s wife. Meanwhile the minister has decided to file a plea to claim Rs. 5 crore compensation on account of defamation linked to these false allegations.

The complainant Hiteshbhai Shankarlal Patel, had filed an application on 27th July. He had also sent its copies to various media and leading offices a week ago. He had alleged suspicious relations between his wife Vaishaliben and Mehmedabad MLA and cabinet minister Arjunsinh Chauhan.

The crime-branch took a detailed statement from his wife. She stated that the allegations made in the plea were false. She stated that her husband has a suspicious nature. She also alleged that he used to beat her up and therefore she left her husband and started living with her sister in another city. She stated that her husband is also undergoing treatment at a psychiatrist. She stated that she lives separate from her husband for a year. DeshGujarat
