Ahmedabad: Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL), today announced the signing of its fifth Ginger hotel in Changodar, Ahmedabad. The hotel is an operating lease with the Thakur Group of Companies. The project is slated to be officially open in 2024.

The hotel will be located on Ahmedabad-Rajkot national highway. The hotel is planned and structured with over 95 rooms, with an all-day diner and fitness center facility. The hotel desires to create a spacious place to host business meetings and events with multiple conference rooms and a banqueting hall.

Contractors believe Changodar is a prime business and residential region, that encompasses several manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries, making it most suitable for hotel planning.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President- Real Estate & Development, IHCL, discussing over signing stated, “Aside from being an important manufacturing hub, Changodar is located close to Ahmedabad, a key commercial and industrial center. This signing, our fifth hotel under the Ginger brand, is in line with IHCL’s strategy of being present in leading satellite cities across India. With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will expand its presence to seven hotels across brands in Ahmedabad.”
