Employment to tribals in South Gujarat through Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan

Vyara: A small tribal village called Chhidiya in Tapi district of South Gujarat has received an order to make 5 lakh bamboo sticks to carry the national flag for ‘Har Ghar Tiranga abhiyan’. The rural workers, most of them women, get Rs. 100 per bamboo.
The sticks made by them will be supplied to various parts of Gujarat. Tapi – 50000, Jamnagar – 85000, Gir Somnath – 70000, Valsad – 64000, Bharuch – 40000, Surat – 54000, Amreli – 20000, Bhavnagar – 11000.

Chhidiya village is located five kms away from Vyara tapula in Tapi district. The locals are provided bamboo for free of cost through a Joint Management Commitee. Last year 3.5 lakh bamboo were distributed to them through this mechanism.
The one aspect of Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan is also the employment it has generated. DeshGujarat
