Ahmedabad: The new main building of ‘Kaushalya- The Skill University’ is in progress at Shilaj, Ahmedabad on 20 acres of land.

Kaushalya- The Skill University was founded by the department of labour, skill development, and employment in October 2021 with the aim of providing employment-oriented professional training and education to the youth. There are 600 seats available across 15-degree courses. A total of 20 to 25 thousand students can be trained in 57 certificate courses. The arrangement of on-job training, apprenticeship, employment, and self-employment is also made for the students.

The university operates from Mahatma Gandhi Shram Sansthan, Memnagar, Ahmedabad temporarily at present. The new building at Shilaj will have a laboratory, library, playground, hostel, and vehicle transportation facility.
