Gujarat CM leads Tiranga Yatra in Rajkot; Porbandar next

Rajkot: A 2-km Tiranga Yatra took place in Rajkot city today in the presence of CM Bhupendra Patel, state BJP president CR Patil, and state home minister Harsh Sanghavi.

The Tiranga Yatra in Rajkot started at 8 am from Bahumali Bhawan Chowk with cultural programs. The yatra departed from Bahumali Bhavan at 9 am after one hour of cultural programs. It departed after paying tribute with flowers to the Sardar Patel statue. It proceeded to Yagnik Road from Jilla Panchayat chowk. The 2-km Tiranga Yatra ended at Rashtriya Shala, founded by Mahatma Gandhi.

The bikes of police and fire brigade, police band, NCC, unions of Brahma Kumaris and Gurukul, officials of the municipal corporation, government officials and employees, various universities, social organizations such as Sardar Dham Group and Khodaldham group, chamber of commerce, Shapar Veraval industrial association, Rajkot Engineering Association, and other trade unions, doctors, lawyers, joined the Tiranga Yatra. The stages were set up on the route representing patriotic programs.

Porbandar will also witness Tiranga Yatra tomorrow 13th August in the presence of CM Bhupendra Patel. CM Patel will arrive in Porbandar at 5 pm. He will then visit Kirti Mandir, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. He will then go to Sudama Chowk. A 1-hour program will be held at Sudama Chowk under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Har Ghar Tiranga.

CM Patel will address the public from Sudama Chowk. After the program, the Tiranga yatra will be held from HanumanGufa Police chowki near Khadi Bhawan in Porbandar to the railway station in Porbandar. It will end by paying tribute with flowers to the Sardar Patel statue at the railway station.
