ACB Gujarat nabs GST Superintendent in bribe case in Vapi

Vapi: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed a superintendent of division-11 of Vapi-3 of the Central GST and Central Excise in Vapi in a bribe case of Rs 20 thousand.
The complainant’s mother had a firm related to labour contracts which is closed at present. The payment of the service tax of the firm was pending. The central GST department had issued an order to pay the tax. The accused inspector, Gurpindar Mukhtiyar Singh who is still on the run, called the complainant by finding his number. He called him to the central GST office of Vapi and asked him to pay the amount of service tax along with installment and penalty. The complainant paid the payable amount.
The accused inspector and the accused superintendent Ramkishor Shrinarayan Mina demanded a bribe of Rs 20 thousand from the complainant and kept torturing him. The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe. The accused superintendent was found accepting a bribe of Rs 20 thousand from the complainant during a trap executed by ACB. The accused superintendent is detained and the accused inspector is yet to be found.
