Sabarmati Riverfront Lower Promenade closed for visitors

Ahmedabad: Due to water released in Sabarmati river from Dharoi dam, there are chances of water overflowing on lower promenade of Sabarmati Riverfront. Thus, from 8 pm on Wednesday, it would be closed for the visitors/ walkers till further notice, said the officials of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC).
At 7 pm on Wednesday, outflow in river Sabarmati from Dharoi dam was 76,750 cusecs in addition to 750 cusecs in the canal. Dharoi dam had inflow of 77,500 cusecs. Dharoi dam was 88.47 percent full and the level was 188.68 m against full reservoir level of 188.67 m. DeshGujarat
