Stray cow attack on Nitin Patel; Police to record statements of local cops on duty

Mehsana: Mehsana DySP has ordered the police inspector of Kadi to give an explanation on various issues over the stray cow attack on former deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel last week.
A stray cow had hit former DyCM Nitin Patel in Tiranga Yatra in Kadi town of Mehsana district which caused injuries to his knee. He was admitted to a private hospital in Kadi for treatment.
Mehsana DySP has issued letters to Kadi taluka police and LIB (Local Intelligence Bureau) seeking explanation over various issues pertaining to the incident. The explanation about various issues are asked in the notice such as checking about the hindrance of stray cows at the rally site, informing the organizers about the stray cattle issue, and the number of policemen deployed for patrolling in the rally.
