Amul hikes payment for milk producers

Gandhinagar: Amul has implemented a pay hike of Rs 20 per kg of milk for the milk producers.
The milk producers will now get Rs 760 instead of Rs 740, due to the pay hike of Rs 20 per kg of fat. Effectively, Amul will pay Rs 7 crore more every month to the milk producers with this fresh pay hike. The milk producers will get Rs 1.25 to Rs 1.50 more per liter of buffalo milk and Re 0.50 more for cow milk.
Ramsinh Parmar, the chairman of Amul, said that there is an increase in the price of raw materials of the cattle feed and the price hike in the milk is implemented due to the same. The amount received due to the price hike will be directly paid to the milk producers, he added. DeshGujarat
