Gujarat CM asks people of Kutch to keep in mind who had given Lok Sabha ticket to Medha Patkar

Bhuj: Without mentioning the name, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today reminded people of Kutch how Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party had fielded Narmada Bachao Andolan’s Medha Patkar in year 2014 Lok Sabha polls by giving her ticket. Patel reminded the people that Medha had opposed Narmada project and she was given ticket to contest by AAP.

“We also have to recall, who were those who deprived Kutch from Narmada water for years. We all know who were those urban naxals. They are same urban naxals who opposed Narmada Yojana, Gujarat and Kutch. They are same urban naxals who did all attempts to keep Kutch deprived of water,” the Chief Minister said in a function to dedicate Kutch Branch canal of Narmada.

“One of names among them is Medha Patkar. We all know they’re associated with which party, who had given ticket to her to contest in parliament election. Such people wanted to bring Naxalvad in Gujarat by misleading the people, but people of Kutch and Gujarat know them well, and haven’t allowed them to do so,” the Chief Minister further said.
