Palanpur Police book five after a Hindu man’s suicide attempt

Banaskantha: Palanpur East police have booked five after a Hindu man attempted suicide following the religious conversion of his daughter, son, and wife.
The accused, Ejaz Mustufabhai Shaikh from Rajpur Gavadi of Disa taluka, trapped a Hindu female (from Malgadh, studying at college in Rasana), in an affair. He allegedly brainwashed her brother and mother and did their religious conversions. He made the female’s brother file a petition in the high court and took them to live with him.
The accused demanded a ransom of Rs 25 lakh when the female’s father asked for their return. He tried to commit suicide by swallowing a toxic drug. Palanpur east police booked five Ejaz Mustufabhai Shaikh, Mustufa Papabhai Shaikh, Alam Papabhai Shaikh, Satar Abdulbhai Haji, and Sohil Sattarbhai Shaikh.
