Daman: The police have nabbed a vice principal and teacher of Our Lady of Help School in Silvassa over allegations of rape of a 14-year-old female student.

The manager and vice principal Micheal Cloudiyo Noons (age 57, lives in Samarvarni, Silvassa), and a teacher Lester Jokvin Decosta (age 23, lives in Khanvel) of a private English medium school named Our Lady of Help, located in Samarvarni, Silvassa are booked for allegedly sexually abusing a 14-year old female student. They had allegedly given death threats to her if she shares about the sexual abuse with anyone.

Silvassa police booked both accused under various sections including rape and POCSO. The police have also got a 5-day remand of them after producing them in court. Dadra Nagar Haveli sub-divisional magistrate Charmi Parekh has ordered to shut off the school after the incident.

The victim was taken to Surat from Silvassa civil hospital after severe bleeding. She was then admitted to a hospital in Mumbai for further treatment. Mumbai police filed a crime with zero number and handed over the investigation to Silvassa police.
