Gujarat CM kicks off works for Centre of Excellence, Primary Processing Centres

Jamnagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on a visit to Jamnagar district today, virtually laid the foundation stone of the center of excellence to be built in 7 districts including Jamnagar.
The center of excellence will be built in Miroli of Daskroi taluka of Ahmedabad, Mahammadpura of Kapadvanj taluka in Kheda, and Mavapar in Dhrol taluka in Jamnagar.
Hel also laid the foundation stone of primary processing centers virtually. The primary processing units will be built at Fal Ropa Uchher kendra in Disa, Banaskantha; Khandivav in Jambughoda taluka in Panchmahal; Mavapar in Dhrol taluka in Jamnagar and Kukma in Kutch district.
Patel launched the scheme implemented by the horticulture department in 2022-23. The aid of Rs 1000 lakh will be given to the farmers growing Kamalam (dragon fruit). The financial aid of Rs 650 lakh will be given to the farmers under comprehensive horticulture development.
