Gandhinagar: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed senior clerk cum junior auditor of the school commissioner office in Juna Sachivalay, Gandhinagar in a bribe case of Rs 1000

The complainant serves as a junior clerk in Sardar Patel Vidyalaya Highschool at Dana, Kapadvanj taluka in Kheda district. There are 2 classes class 9 and class 10 in the school. The school commissioner office in Gandhinagar had held an audit checking program for departmental account audit of 2019-20 for granted non-governmental secondary and higher secondary schools and Uttar Buniyadi schools. The audit officials who arrived from the office demanded a bribe of Rs 500 per class.

The accused senior clerk and junior auditor Gatorbhai Bhikhabhai Baraiya demanded a bribe of Rs 1000 for 2 classes considering Rs 500 per class from the complainant to easily make an audit of 2019-20 and not find errors in the audit. The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe. The accused was found taking a bribe of Rs 1000 during a trap executed by ACB. The accused is detained.
