Singapore Monetary Authority signs MoU with Gujarat based IFSCA

Gandhinagar: Singapore Monetary Authority (MAS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with International Financial Service Centre Authority (IFSCA) in Gandhinagar for regulatory cooperation in Fin-tech sector and Fin-tech Cooperation Agreement.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Lawrence Wong, Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore and Gujarat Finance Minister among others. According to Mr. Joshi, the main technology official of IFSCA, the agreement is a watershed moment. Fin-tech are benefited by regulatory sandboxes to avail Fin-tech bridge as a launchpad in Singapore for Indian fin-tech and in India for Singapore fin-tech as launch pads.

The Singapore Deputy Prime Minister during his visit to the State capital also called on the Chief Minister and invited the latter to visit Singapore. He also visited GIFT City and held meetings with officials there. DeshGujarat
