Gandhinagar: Gujarat is hosting the Council of Mayors and Deputy Mayors of Bhartiya Janta Party ruled civic bodies  from all across the country on the 20th and 21st of September 2022.

National Mayor Conference is happening in Gandhinagar where the Mayor, Dy Mayor, and elected representatives of BJP ruled urban bodies are coming together on a national platform for 1 st time.

Speaking to the media persons here,  Rituraj Sinha, the national secretary of BJP said, “A total of 121 Mayors and Dy Mayor from 18 states and UT across the county are attending this conference in Gandhinagar. Out of these 121, as many as 48 representatives are women which showcases women’s power.”

PM Modi will inaugurate and address the gathering through video conferencing. The National President of BJP, J P Nadda, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and State BJP President C R Patil will attend the event physically.

Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM of Maharashtra, will also address the council about his experiences with urban development. Union Minister Dr. Hardeep Singh Puri will also attend the conference.

The Mayors of Indore, Surat, Panaji and Ranchi will be addressing the council on various subjects of urban development and management.
