AIMIM chief Owaisi announces three candidates for Gujarat polls

Ahmedabad: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi today announced three candidates of his party for upcoming Gujarat assembly election. Former MLA Sabir Kabliwala who heads AIMIM’s Gujarat unit has been declared as candidate for Jamalpur – Khadia assembly seat. This seat is located in walled city area of Ahmedabad. It is a Muslim majority assembly seat which is presently occupied by a Muslim candidate Imran Khedawala of Congress.

Owaisi has declared Kaushikaben Parmar’s name as candidate of Danilimda assembly seat. This seat is located in Eastern Ahmedabad and it is presently occupied by Congress MLA Shailesh Parmar. Danilimda has mixture of Muslim and Schedule Caste population. The seat is reserved for Schedule Caste candidates. Parmar is AIMIM Women’s wing president for Ahmedabad city unit.

Wasim Qureshi has been declared as AIMIM candidate for Surat East assembly seat in Surat city. The seat is presently occupied by BJP MLA Arvind Rana.
