Gujarat election may take place 10 to 12 days early and complete by November end: CR Patil
September 26, 2022
Anand: Gujarat BJP chief CR Patil today said the State Assembly election this year may come early and complete by the end of the month of November.
“I think the election will be over by end of November. In 2012 and 2017 the election was on December 12. This time, it may come early by 10-12 days. I have not been told by anyone and I have not discussed it with anyone,” said CR Patil while speaking at a public meeting in Anand to mark the inauguration of new district BJP office.

“Now journalist friends will run breaking news that the State party chief announced the date(of election), but I have no power to announce the date. But I want to ask party men that there’s Diwali in between and they should not be complacent,” he added.
It’s worth noting that Gujarat usually witnesses general election of assembly in the month of December. Patil’s remark has come exactly on the day when Chief Election Commissioner is on two-day visit to Gujarat starting today. DeshGujarat
