Gandhinagar: Central Election Commission team led by Chief Election Commissioner today held a meeting with district election officers, range IG, DIG, and district police chiefs (SPs) and received details regarding law and order situation.

Detailed presentation on preparedness for election was made by District Election Officers and District Police chiefs before the Election Commission. Ahead of this meeting, the Election Commission officials met with representatives of political parties. The Election Commission will on Tuesday hold a meeting with Chief Secretary and State Police Chief (DGP) and review overall preparations for holding elections in the State. The Election Commission also launched a video of C-VIGIL app.

Gujarat is likely to witness the regular election of the State assembly in the upcoming December.
