PM to lay foundation stones of upgradation works of 4 big water supply schemes in Surat

Surat: PM Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stones of upgradation works of four major water supply schemes at a cost of Rs 324.66 crore in two phases from Surat on 29th September.
The population of 9 lakh of 183 villages will benefit after the completion of the schemes. The upgradation work of the Borsad Degadiya improvement group water supply scheme (phase 1) will be done at a cost of Rs 108.58 crore. The upgradation of Borsad Degadiya’s water supply scheme (phase 2) will be done at a cost of Rs 58.20 crore.
The upgradation of the Variav upgradation group water supply scheme (phase 1) will be done at a cost of Rs 58.25 crore. A total of 83 villages of Olpad taluka will get drinking water due to the upgradation of the Variav upgradation group water supply scheme (phase 2) at a cost of Rs 99.63 crore.
A total of 9 lakh people in 183 villages of Mandvi, Mangrol, Umarpada, Olpad, and Choryasi talukas will get drinking water due to the upgradation of the four water supply schemes.
