PM Modi to dedicate 25 public EV charging stations in Surat

Surat: PM Narendra Modi will dedicate 25 public charging stations for electric vehicles built at the cost of Rs 13.59 crore in Surat on 29th September.
PM Modi will also lay the foundation stones of other 25 public charging stations to be built at a cost of Rs 13.59 crore. All of them are fast charging stations. Around 500 electric vehicle charging stations will be built in Surat city by 2025 as part of developing the electric vehicle ecosystem.
Surat city has a total of 16831 electric vehicles after implementing the electric vehicle policy. There were 1007 electric vehicles in the city before the implementation of the electric vehicle policy. Around 14 vehicles are electric vehicles out of the 100 newly registered vehicles daily in the city.
