Kheda: A Muslim teacher at Pay Centre school in Hathaj village of Nadiad taluka in Kheda district allegedly made the students play Tajia instead of Garba in a one-day Garba function held at the school to celebrate Navratri.
A one day Garba function was held at the school on 30th September. A Muslim teacher allegedly made the students to dance on the music of Tajia instead of Garba. The locals gave a memorandum to the district collector demanding actions against the responsible persons. The Muslim students at the school allegedly played Tajia with wearing t-shirts with their religious symbols.
The president of Hindu Dharma Sena, Kheda said, “We gave memorandum. A one-day program of Garba was held in a primary school in Hathaj village in Nadiad yesterday. Students were playing Garba and the program of DJ was going on. The Garba of Mataji was going on. Meanwhile, the Garba were suddenly stopped. Out of the teachers in the school, there are Muslim teachers too. We don’t mind that there are Muslim teachers. The problem is, they suddenly stopped the Garba of Ma Amba and they made shout the slogans of their religion. They gave Tshirts with the symbol of their religion to the students.”
