PM Narendrabhai Modi to launch Rs. 712 crore public healthcare facilities in Ahmedabad

Gandhinagar: PM Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone and dedicate healthcare facilities of Rs 712 crore from Ahmedabad civil hospital on 11th October. PM Modi is going to be on a visit to Gujarat from 9th to 11th October 2022.

He will dedicate a new hostel building built at a cost of Rs 71 crore in UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre. The hostel has 10 floors plus the ground floor along with 2 basements, 176 rooms, and a central library with museum. The modern machines for heart treatments worth Rs 54 crore and other world class facilities will also be dedicated.

The world class facilities including center for heart and lung transplant, mobile ECMO working as artificial heart and lungs, VAD, CRRT machine, virtual simulation cardiac cath lab for doctors taking training of heart surgery, robotic cardiac surgery system, minimal invasive cardiac surgery, tele ICCU, 150 critical cardiac beds, coronary graft- floor measurement meter, RF ablation machine, homograft valve bank, mother milk bank, slip lab, cardiac rehabilitation center, up to day software, 3 tesla cardiac MRI machines, blood centre, 3D/4D cardiac echo machines will be dedicated.

The new hospital building of IKDRC built at Asarva will also be dedicated by the PM. The hospital building built at a cost of Rs 408 crore has 850 beds. It has 22 hi-tech operation theatre, 12 ICU, modern laboratory, and dialysis facility of performing 62 dialysis simultaneously.

New building C of Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute in Medicity built at a cost of Rs 140 crore will also be dedicated by the PM. It will increase the general wards to 187. The bone marrow transplant will increase to 11 from 4. It has a facility for a next generation sequencing machine in the laboratory. It has a library, 317 seating capacity auditorium, telemedicine room, board room and canteen.

PM Modi will perform Bhumipujan of Rain basera facility for relatives of the patients. The Rain Basera building will be built at a cost of Rs 39 crore across 5800 square meters. DeshGujarat
