SVPI airport may get new integrated terminal in early 2026

Ahmedabad: Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) airport in Ahmedabad is gearing up to get another terminal as the traffic at the airport is expected to rise by 224%. The New Integrated Terminal Building (NITB) will be adjacent to the current domestic terminal T-1 and is expected to be ready by February 2026.
The operating authority of the new terminal Ahmedabad International Airport Limited (AIAL), has proposed an expense of Rs 3,130 crore for the project.
AIAL also has proposed a multi-year tariff of Rs 11,107.4 crore over the next four years, including Capex plans and other renovations, expansions, and refurbishments.
According to the airport operator (AIAL), air passenger traffic is expected to grow 224% from 61 lakh in FY 2022 to 1.98 crore in FY 2026.
