In video: When Narendrabhai listened to Gujarati song in Kargil on Diwali

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi who was on visit to Kargil in Jammu & Kashmir to celebrate Diwali with the jawans of Armed Forces listened to the song ‘Ame Lehri lala’ sung by a group of jawans, who were probably from Gujarat.

The song is originally sung by Gujarati folk singer Kinjal Dave. It’s lyrics mention Prime Minister Narendra Modi is one of proud Gujarati along side Mahatma Gandhi. The lyrics goes like this – Gandhi ji Gujarati, Modi ji Gujarati, Gujarat ni bolbala, amme lehri lala amme lehri lala. The Prime Minister tweeted the video of the same on his twitter with a Gujarati caption – Gujarati songs in Kargil.

Prime Minister Modi visits forward areas on every Diwali to celebrate the festival with the armed forces. He had started this practice when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. There were various reactions to PM Modi’s video in which he was listening to a Gujarati song in Kargil. MoS Home in Gujarat, Harsh Sanghavi tweeted the video and admired the energy of Prime Minister Modi.
