Bharuch: Lok Sabha member from Bharuch seat in Gujarat, Mansukh Vasava today in a series of tweets informed that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided that the party shall not give the ticket to a family member of any sitting member of parliament and member of the legislative assembly for upcoming Gujarat Assembly election.
Vasava said he and his daughter Pritiben Vasava had sought tickets for candidature in the assembly election, however, the party has made a policy that sitting MLA or MP’s family will not get a ticket.
Vasava said he has accepted this decision and he will work as per the party’s order. Vasava said the party’s parliamentary board has received panels of names for the selection of candidates for Nandod and Dediapada assembly seats. “Whichever names are decided by the party, we will make them victorious and all other party leaders should also work for the victory of whoever is chosen for candidature,” said Vasava.
