November 10, 2022
Gandhinagar: Third Congress legislator has joined the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in the last three days. Jhalod legislator Bhavesh Katara dressed saffron cap and scarf and joined BJP at the State party headquarters today. Katara said he has rejoined BJP as he feels BJP can serve the tribal people better compared to the rival Congress party. Katara also admired the BJP for making a tribal woman the President of India. Katara met with State BJP general secretary Pradipsinh Vaghela and MoS Home Harsh Sanghavi. Both leaders welcomed Katara by hugging him. Katara said he has conveyed to BJP leaders that he’s joining the BJP unconditionally and he would contest the election not this time, but after some time when his pledge of Shiv Mandir is over. Katara resigned as a legislator late in the evening yesterday. Congress has fielded some other leader from Jhalod seat. Gujarat is going to witness regular election of State assembly in December first week. DeshGujarat
