November 13, 2022
Kodinar: Sitting MLA of the Congress party, Mohanbhai Vala has resigned from the party over the issue of ticket allocation for Kodinar assembly seat. Mohanbhai took this decision after a meeting at the residence of former Gujarat Congress vice president Dhirsinh Barad. Senior Congress leader Dhirsinh Barad also announced his resignation from the Congress party. Gujarat is going to witness the regular election of the State assembly in the first week of December. Today’s development is considered a huge jolt to Congress on this seat which was the only seat in the entire Saurashtra and Kutch region that had voted for Congress in the year 2019 Lok Sabha election. Kodinar assembly seat is reserved for Schedule Caste candidates. Last evening, the Congress party declared Mahesh Makwana as its candidate for this seat. DeshGujarat
