Bhuj: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed the contract-based surveyor of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna of Bhuj municipality in a bribe case of Rs 40 thousand.

The complainant filed an application for aid for making a house under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna in Bhuj municipality. The work of giving opinion after survey was handed over to the accused surveyor selected by the state government Ashwin Shantilal Patel. He demanded a bribe of Rs 40 thousand from the complainant to give an opinion for the aid of Rs 3,50,000.

The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe. The accused was found taking a bribe of Rs 40 thousand from the complainant during a trap executed by ACB. The accused is detained. DeshGujarat
