“Congress insulted great sons of Gujarat – Sardar, Morarji and Modi”

Ahmedabad: Former Union Minister and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) MP Ravi Shankar Prasad attacked Congress party today on various fronts while addressing the press at state media centre here in Ahmedabad. Prasad said that reason congress is out of power is, because they insulted sons of Gujarat – Sardar, Morarji and Modi.

BJP leader said while attacking congress, “Congress party claims Sardar Patel was their. So I want to ask if he was yours then, why Sardar Patel was given Bharat Ratna, 41 years after his death when then Prime minster was Narasimha Rao who was not form Gandhi-Nehru family. if the PM would have been a Gandhi-Nehru then Sardar Patel would have gotten Bharat Ratna at time of Atal Bihari Vajpayee…”

“What Rahul Gandhi speaks about Veer Savarkar these days ? Rahul Gandhi should go and stay in the cell of Andaman and Nicobar island to know the plight of Savarkar,” Prasad added.

Further in the backdrop of Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot calling Sachin Pilot ‘Gaddar’, Ravi Shankar said that Rahul Gandhi first should work on Congress Jodo. Rahul did not go to Himachal Pradesh and he did touch and go in Gujarat once because he does not want to take credit of another defeat of congress party. The reason Congress is not in power  is this party has always insulted great sons of Gujarat – Sardar, Morarji & Modi, he added.

Later talking about Rahul Gandhi walking with Medha Patkar during Bharat Jodo Yatra the BJP MP said, “If Rahul Gandhi puts hand on shoulder of such people (Medha Patkar) who worked to ensure that Sardar Sarovar and its canals don’t materialize, then it’s very clear how much priority Rahul Gandhi has for Gujarat’s good.”
