Transformation of Sidhpur Rudra Mahal Mandir, tallest idol of Krishna, India’s biggest museum in Gujarat BJP manifesto

Gandhinagar: Sihdpur Ruda Mahalaya Mandir which is in poor shape for the last many centuries after Muslim invaders razed it to the ground may regain its glory. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has in its ‘Sankalp Patra’ manifesto today included Rudra Mahalaya of Sidhpur in Rs. 1,000 crores proposed scheme to renovate, expand and promote the temples.

The BJP has announced spending of Rs. 1,000 crore to renovate expand and promote temples following the successful transformation model of Somnath, Ambaji, and Pavagadh. Among several temples listed in this section of the manifesto is Sidhpur’s Rudra Mahalaya temple of Solanki era, the Golden era of Gujarat. It was razed to the ground by Ahmed Shah (Ahmedabad fame) and other Muslim invaders.

The BJP has also proposed to build the tallest statue of Shri Krishna in Dwarka area along with 3D immersive Bhagwat Gita experience zone and viewing gallery for the lost city of Dwarka.

The party has also proposed to build the biggest museum of India in Ahmedabad which shall be called – the Museum of Indian history and culture.

-Master plan for Paitana, in line with the development of Ambaji and Dwarka, and develop it as an important location on the Jain tourism map.

-will begin a series of stage dramas and musicals depicting the journey of Gujarat’s famous historical figures and significant events, such as Raja Sidhraj Jaisinh, Veer Hamirji, Gandhiji, Sardar Patel, Vitthalbhai Patel, Ravi Shankar Maharaj, Shivaji Maharaj, Maharaja Sayajirao, and Dandi Satyagraha.

-Will build memorials/statues to honour religious gurus, social reformers, historical figures and freedom fighters such as Govind Guru, Sant Sadaram Bapu, Veer Dedaji Barad, Manibhai Desai etc.

-Wil felicitate 100 Gujarati artists every year with a cash prize of Rs. 51,000 under the Gaurav Puraskar Samaroh, for their outstanding achievement in the fields of music, dance, drama, and folk art.

-We will establish craft haats in each district of Gujarat based on the model of Ahmedabad’s Vastrapur haat.

-Will develop craft village complexes at Ajrakhpur, Nirona, Hodka, Khavda, Dhordo, Sumrasar, Loria, Nakhatrana, Paddhar, Anjar.
