Voting in first phase is up in number by 10 lakh votes, BJP to break three records: CR Patil
December 03, 2022
Gandhinagar: CR Patil, chief of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today in replies to media queries stated that 10 lakh more voters have cast their votes in the first phase of Gujarat polls 2022 compared that previous polls in 2017.
Patil said total of 1.51 crore voters have cast their votes. In 2017, 1.41 crore had cast their votes in the first phase. While the turnout looks lower percentage-wise but it is more compared to the 2017 polls.
Patil said the percentage of voting is lower because the number of total voters has increased in each assembly constituency.

Patil said the impact of Page Committee will be visible in favor of the BJP in the results of the election.
Patil said he has toured across about 182 assembly constituency areas and even today he has traveled through 15 assembly seat areas before coming to this press conference.
Patel hailed 63 percent of “bumper voting” without any incident.
When pointed out that the Congress party has planned to take its MLAs to neighboring Congress-ruled State Rajasthan, Patil reacted with a smile, ‘let their candidates win first’.
