PM Narendrabhai Modi casts vote; Appreciates the wisdom of Gujarat voters

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi today morning cast his vote post 9 am at Ranip area-based Nishan school in Ahmedabad. The PM halted his convoy a few distances away from the polling station and walked to vote amid chants of ‘Modi … Modi’ by the people gathered to have his glimpse. The PM stood in the queue and waited for his turn outside the polling room for a while. After casting his vote, the PM walked to elder brother Somabhai Modis’ residence. After spending some time with Somabhai and his family.

Giving his reaction to media persons, the PM took note of excitement and joy among the voters of Gujarat and Delhi and thanked and congratulated the voters for celebrating this festival of democracy. The PM also thanked the Election Commission of India for developing traditions that increase the prestige of India throughout the world. The PM also heartily thanked the voters of Gujarat for celebrating the festival of democracy with aan, baan and ahaan. He appreciated good discussion and debate (in the context of the election). He said the people of Gujarat have neer, kshir, vivek (meaning prudence to distinguish milk from milk and water.)). He said the people of Gujarat have the nature to listen to all and derive the truth. He took note of the heavy voting and thanked the voters of Gujarat.

Prime Minister after casting his vote visited his elder brother Somabhai’s house and had tea and warm water there.
Talking to the media Soma Bhai said, “People cannot ignore the kind of work Centre has done after 2014. I asked him (PM Modi) that he works a lot for country, he should take some rest as well.”
