Bhupendra Patel wins Ghatlodiya seat by 1.92 lakh margin

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel was today declared a victorious candidate in the Ghatlodiya assembly seat of Ahmedabad by the margin of 1.92 lakh votes. This is the largest margin in the Gujarat assembly election 2022 achieved by any candidate. The main opposition Congress party had fielded its Rajya Sabha member from Gujarat, Smt Amiben Yagnik against Bhupendra Patel on Ghatlodiya seat. Patel won the Ghatlodiya seat in 2017 also with the highest margin then. Patel had won Ghatlodiya seat for the first time in 2017. Prior to that, Ghatlodiya seat was represented by former Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel. One of the reasons behind the huge margin in this seat is the number of voters in this seat which is highet than most of the other assembly seats in the State. The seat is located in Western Ahmedabad area, a staungh BJP supporting bastion. The Prime Minister in his speech at the national headquarters of the BJP in New Delhi today evening took note of this remarkbale victory of Bhupendrabhai Patel.
