Shah reviews initial plans for hosting Olympic games 2036 in Ahmedabad

Gandhinagar: Union Home Minister and Lok Sabha member from Gandhinagar constituency, Amitbhai Shah today held a meeting to review the initial preparations to host the year 2036 Olympic games in the city of Ahmedabad.

Shah held this meeting in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Sports Minister Harsh Sanghavi among others in Ahmedabad.

The meeting discuss proposed sports facilities for Olympic Games in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, in Sardar Patel Sports Complex located next to the Narendra Modi stadium and at Naranpura Sports coomplex. Shah offered guidance in the meeting regarding the creation of Sports infrastructure, and residential facilities for Sports persons and coaches as per the Olympics standards. Shah also suggested the facilities for Water Sports and Mountain Sports.

Shah made the suggestion that the Chief Minister and the Sports Minister should review the plans and their execution at regular intervals. Shah said the year 2036 Olympics will make Ahmedabad a developed city at a faster pace compared to very developed cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata. DeshGujarat
