Jains protest in Palitana seeking action in Shetrunjay hill damage incident

Bhavnagar: Over 20 thousand Jains joined a rally in Palitana and gave a memorandum to the deputy collector demanding to take action against those who broke a CCTV camera pole and a board at Shetrunjay hill.
Jain Shwetambar Tapgachchh Maha Sangh Ahmedabad and Mumbai Jain Sangh organized a rally in protest of the incident. Jains from Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Surat, Ahmedabad and Bhavnagar joined the rally. A press conference was organised about the incident. Shetrunjay Mahatirth Raksha Samiti Ahmedabad spokesperson Abhaybhai Shah and Ahmedabad Jain Sangh general secretary Pranav Shah stated that immediate actions should be taken against those responsible for the terror at Shetrunjay Mahatirth.
An assembly was held at Parna Bhawan prior to the rally. A large number of Jain monks and devotees joined it. Around 20 to 25 thousand people joined the assembly.
The Maha Rally started from Parna Bhawan at 4 pm. The 1-km rally ended at the Prant office. The jain community gave a memorandum stating 19 issues of them to the deputy collector Siddharth Gadhavi.
Around 3 to 4 thousand people of Bhavnagar Jain Murtipujak Tapsangh joined the rally. Around 100 cars and 7 buses arrived from Bhavnagar. DeshGujarat
