Amit Shah hails Patil for massive Gujarat win

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah applauded state chief C R Patil  for Bhartiya Janta Party’s (BJP) massive victory in Gujarat Elections while addressing the ‘Abhinandan Samaroh’ organised by Surat BJP yesterday.

Addressing the event through video conferencing, Shah said, “Through meetings of panna committees and panna presidents, our state chief CR Patil trained and activated the party workers, creating a very organized structure.”

Shah also said that Gujaratis have shown their faith in BJP time and again as they have witnessed that basic amenities are distributed evenly. In its 27 year long rule, BJP has given a transparent, honest and dedicated government without a single scam.

It was under Modi’s leadership that the state’s BJP government worked to ensure development reached every household, especially in the tribal areas, sea shores, and Kutch where it had not reached before, HM said.

Shah thanked BJP workers in Surat saying “BJP won all seats in Surat and rural areas for the first time after independence thanks to the people and workers of Surat and rural areas.”

As Shah took a swipe at the AAP, he said several new parties entered this election with different promises and claims, but they were all exposed after the results were announced. “The massive victory today sends a strong message to the nation that Gujarat region is and will remain a stronghold for the BJP,” Shah said.
