Suriname President on visit to Gujarat

Jamnagar: The President of Suriname, Chandrikapersad ‘Chan’ Santokhi is on a visit to Gujarat. He was on a visit to pilgrim towns Dwarka and Somnath today. Santokhi arrived at Jamnagar in a special plane with the 16-member delegation and visited the Reliance township from the airport. He then boarded a helicopter to visit Dwarka and later Somnath. He will return to Jamnagar and then start his official tour from Gandhinagar. After the victory of the Progressive Reform Party (PRP) in the year 2020 elections in Surinam, Chandrikapersad Santokhi became the 9th President of the country. Hindus make the 2nd-largest religious group in Suriname, comprising almost a quarter of its population. DeshGujarat
