Ahmedabad: Sabarmati riverfront in the city is all geared up to get another attraction as a Floating Restaurant atop River Cruise will soon be operational here.

According to the sources, a floating cruise restaurant is likely to be operational from the first week of April, this year. Guests will be able to enjoy food and music on the cruise restaurant. The cruise restaurant will be known as the Akshar Dinner Cruise. This cruise will run from Sardar Bridge to Gandhi Bridge in Sabarmati river.

Being brought in from Umergaon of Valsad, the cruise restaurant will take up to 3 months to get assembled. The passenger capacity of this cruise will be 125 to 150 people.
The project was announced by Sabarmati River Front Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL) under Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) model. The operator of the curies will pay a yearly rent of ₹45 Lakh to Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. DeshGujarat
