Pavagadh hill to get 2 elevators for Divyangs and Senior Citizens

Panchmahal: Senior citizens and Divyang devotees now will be able to reach Mahakali Mandir at Pavagadh Hill easily. Two elevators at the cost of Rs. 20 crores are going to be installed here to reach the temple of Mahakali atop the hill for use by Divyangs and Senior Citizens.

To pay a visit to Kalika Temple atop Pavagadh hill at present, devotees have to climb 2200 stairs from upside Ropeway station to Temple. This was the cause of a lot of trouble for the elderly and specially-abled people, but in the future, two elevators will be operating from Chasiya Talav to Temple Corridor. The elevator route is 65 meters high and it has the capacity to accommodate 20 people at a time.

The tender of the elevator task is given to an Ahmedabad-based company that will install the lifts in a period of one year. DeshGujarat
