Gujarat govt gives additional charge of important departments to three IAS officers

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government has given additional charge of the Home department to Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) AK Rakesh who is presently ACS for the General Administrative Department.
The Government has also handed over the additional charge of the Industries & Mines department to Kamal Dayani who is presently ACS of the Revenue department.
In both these cases, additional charges are given due to the elevation of the outgoing ACS of the Home and Revenue department, Raj Kumar as Chief Secretary of the State.
In another development, Sonal Mishra, Commissioner of Rural Development and Principal Secretary for Rural Development has been given additional charge of the post of Principal Secretary of Panchayats, Rural Housing, and Rural Development department following the transfer of IAS Vipul Mittra.
