Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat Police has nabbed a head constable working as a driver in mobile number two of Naroda Police station for taking hafta – bribe. A complainant in this case owns 3 dumper trucks and transports the soil. His trucks pass through the areas under Naroda police station and he pays Rs. 2,000 bribe as hafta to the Police. However in recent times, the trucks of the complainant function outside the limits of Naroda police station. The accused was still demanding hafta continue and threatening to detain the trucks otherwise. Today on 2nd February, the accused had asked to come and pay a bribe or face consequences. As the complaint was not willing to pay a bribe, he contacted ACB, following which a trap was arranged and the accused was held while receiving a bribe of Rs. 2,000 at Hanspura char rasta, near Hanspura police chowki on SP ring road in Naroda.
