Vadodara: A Hindu man who went to Muslims populated area to drop off his Muslim colleague was beaten up by two Muslims. A police complaint has been filed in the Vadodara city police station in this regard. According to details in a police complaint, A Hindu man Mayur Parmar was requested by his Muslim co-worker Mantasha to drop her at her home after job hours on 31st January. Yogesh took the office’s two-wheeler Honda Activa and dropped Mantasha at 7.30 pm near Yakutpura Lal Akhada tran rasta. A Musliman apparently disturbed with a Hindu man dropping a Muslim woman asked Yogesh his name. Yogesh in reply his name as Shadab, a Muslim name. However, a Muslim man was agitated by this reply. He said you look like Guajrati man, why are you lying? A Muslim man then started using abusive language targetting Yogesh and also snatching away the key of the two-wheeler. When objected, one more Muslim person arrived there and started beating up Yogesh. Mantasha meanwhile intervened but she also was targeted with abusive language. City Police has booked Shehzad Pathan and Lala’s child (both residents of Yakutpura) under IPC sections 323, 294(kha), and 114. DeshGujarat
