Gandhinagar: Authorities broke the lock and took possession of the government-allotted residence of the former legislator from Thasra, Kanti Parmar after he ignored multiple requests to vacate the MLA quarter post the election that he lost.
Five other former MLAs and one minister who have also failed to vacate their government-allotted MLA quarters despite being served notices include Gayasuddin Sheikh (Dariyapur), Raghavji Makwana (Mahuva), Suman Chauhan (Kaalol), Kalusinh Dhabi (Kapadwanj), Ashwin Kotwal (Khedbhrama), and minister of state Parshottambhai Solanki (who has been allotted ministerial bungalow and therefore he requires to vacate the MLA quarter).
