Hindu woman faces acid attack threat; Police book one in Vyara

Vyara: Police here have booked one Sadikkhan Shabashkhan Pathan for allegedly issuing a threat of acid attack and causing harassment to a Hindu girl.
A Hindu girl in her complaint stated that Vankvel-based Sadik Khan was pressurizing her for marriage and stoking her. As the girl refused his proposal, Sadikh would issue threats to her. On 11th December last year, the victim girl was engaged to a boy from Ahmedabad. Sadik however contacted her would-be inlaws and managed to break her engagement.
On Monday, February 20, when the victim girl went to Songadh with her younger sister, Sadi Khan told her that she should marry him as per the Muslim customs and otherwise, she would not be allowed to marry anywhere else and she would face an acid attack. As Sadik was issuing threats in the market, the people nearby gathered in favor of the victim girl and later she approached the police station with her family members. Police have booked Sadik Khan.
Sadik has been booked for one more offense of entering into a brawl with Policein Songadh referral hospital. Sadik along with his younger brother Sabirkhan and one Jagu Goma are booked by police in this case. DeshGujarat
