ACB Gujarat nabs agent taking bribe from applicant of Vajpayee Bankable Yojana

Ahmedabad: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat Police today nabbed an agent working at Jilla Udhyog Kendra in Bachat Bhavan on Relief road in Ahmedabad for taking Rs. 10,000 bribe.
A trap was arranged by ACB at Lucky hotel in Lal Darawaja hotel in Ahmedabad. A complainant’s son wanted to purchase a tempo under Vajpayee Bankable Yojana, for which he had applied for a loan at Jilla Udhyog Kendra.
The accused agent had demanded Rs. 10,000 for approval to a loan application. As the complainant was not willing to pay a bribe, he contacted ACB, following which a trap was arranged, and accused Rajendra Pradhan was held taking Rs. 10,000 bribe. DeshGujarat
